A true art form, fluting is the method of removing metals and creating grooves on the surface of a barrel. It improves the look and style of a barrel. It reduces weight, and cools down the barrel quicker than the standard barrel of the same profile. Choosing your fluting design can be difficult because there are so many options to choose from. Choose the look and style that suits you!

A threaded barrel has external threads at the muzzle end. This allows for attachments such as a suppressor or other muzzle devices.

CROWN

The barrel crown is the shape on the end of the muzzle. It is where the end of the bore intersects with the face of the barrel. There are many styles/types of crowns, and they continue to evolve to meet specific shooting applications.

CUSTOM PRECISION RIFLING

RIFLING AND BORE

The process of machining helical grooves into the bore. This process creates torque and thrust to a projectile around its logitudinal axis. This stabilizes the projectile improving stability and accuracy. 

At Black Hole Weaponry, we use the Caudle P3, and P5 rifling, and we are currently introducing the next generation rifling called the "CLAW" designed for the next generation in shooting science.

The gas block is the connector between the gas tube and the barrel. It holds the tube in place, while channeling the gas back towards the bolt carrier. Most traditional gas blocks have a fixed-sized hole for the gas to escape and flow through.

All AR Platforms have some form of feedramp(s). The feed ramp is used to guide the projectile up and into the firing chamber from the magazine.

The extension is threaded and used to attach the barrel to the rifle. The extension pin locks it into place. The barrel extension also has the feed ramps.
