Every porting style we offer from Standard, to Comet, adds to the design of a non-threaded barrel. If you select a target crown option and wish to add Porting, we can do it! Simply select an eyecatching design from below. When a cartridge is fired, gas pushes the bullet down the barrel and as it passes each port, some of the gas is vented out. The intention of Porting not only adds to the look of the barrel, but it also has the intention of counteracting muzzle rise and reduce felt recoil.
